Stars are unlockable achievements, which form a visual representation of a 'skill tree' in the night sky.
Most stars are tiered numerical thresholds - ie. number of fish caught or number of NPCs befriended. Some however may be more specific and tied to events that occur within the Gardens.
If certain stars are connected together they complete Constellations.
