Dustflies are glowing insects that appear throughout the Gardens and can be caught with the Dustfly Jar.

How to Catch Dustflies

To catch dustflies, you need to approach them slowly (without sprinting) after you've equipped the Dustfly Jar. You will acquire the Dustfly Jar after meeting Jahi for the first time.

Once you are next to a collection of Dustflies, you'll be prompted to catch them following the on screen directions.

Dustfly Charging

Dustfly Charging is a mechanic that involves capturing dustflies in a Dustfly Jar and using their accumulated charge for various purposes. Dustfly Charging offers flexible options for interacting with travelers and fulfilling trade requirements.

Capturing and charging

Dustfly Charging begins by capturing a dustfly in a jar. As you perform tasks, the dustfly in the jar charges up, preparing it for various uses.

Using Charged Jars

Once the dustfly is charged, you can use them for:

1. Attracting Travelers: Take the charged jar to the pigeon holes on the community board. This will attract a specific traveler to visit the next day.
2. Obtaining Vouchers: Use a charged jar to get a voucher from a traveler. Vouchers can be used to fulfill any request during trades, acting as a substitute for required items.

Spoiler - Another Use of a Dustfly

If you choose not to spend the charged dustfly and keep it around, it will eventually convert into a pet dustfly. This pet dustfly will follow you for a few days before disappearing.
