Fishing

Fishing is an activity to acquire Songfish and requires a Rod.

How to Fish

After acquiring a Rod, equip it in your Inventory to get started.

Some fish might be seen in the water as you roam, cast the line close to them to get their attention. Or, if you wait, a fish will come to you while you are fishing in any body of water.

Move the fishing rod around to find the spot on the grid the fish likes most, marked by a coloured circle. Hold the note inside the inner-most red circle, then wait for the fish to bite before reeling in.

What are Songfish

Songfish are a unique resource in The Garden Path that have very helpful qualities. Most fish in the Garden have a song, their song affects the Garden when the Garden hears it.

Catch a fish with a song, go to your Inventory and release it ('Use' prompt when you hover over it in your inventory), and see what effect it has. Songfish are also good Trading resources.
